For couples getting married here, there’s a beautiful balance between the natural surroundings and the character of the town. You have the ocean, the jungle, the warm light, and all these little details that give every celebration its own personality.

I love that Sayulita becomes part of the story. It feels alive, with its own energy, movement, colors, and little details that naturally become part of the photographs.


For me, that’s what makes it such a great place to photograph a wedding. There’s always something happening, but nothing ever feels forced. You can simply be present with the people you love, and I can focus on documenting those moments as they unfold.

There’s time to have dinner together, spend the afternoon at the beach, explore the town, or simply slow down with the people who traveled to be there.   • Couples who want the destination to have a presence of its own. Sayulita doesn’t simply provide a beautiful backdrop, it becomes another character in the story. From a Photographer’s Perspective:

Every wedding unfolds differently, and that’s what makes photographing them so rewarding. In Sayulita, I find that couples naturally embrace a more relaxed pace, which allows the day to unfold without feeling rushed. From getting ready with close friends and family to the last moments on the dance floor, there is room for the real moments to happen naturally.

My role is to be present without taking over the experience. I’ll step in when a little direction can help, especially during portraits, but for the most part, I’m looking for what is already happening: the way you interact, the people around you, and the moments you may not even realize are worth remembering. For me, that balance is what makes a wedding gallery feel personal, honest, and true to the day.

A few insider tips…

  • Plan around the seasons. November through May generally brings sunnier days and lower humidity, while summer and early fall are warmer and wetter. The occasional tropical shower can be brief, often leaving behind beautiful light and dramatic skies.
  • Build some flexibility into your timeline. Sayulita has a relaxed pace, and things don’t always happen exactly when planned. Giving yourself a little extra time between getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception allows everyone to enjoy the day without feeling rushed.
  • Make time for the sunset. One of my favorite things about photographing in Sayulita is the quality of light toward the end of the day. I always recommend setting aside a few minutes for sunset portraits.
